PSAT Score Guide for UAE Students

PSAT 8/9 reports a 240-1440 total score; PSAT 10 and PSAT/NMSQT report 320-1520. A useful score review looks beyond the total to Reading and Writing, Math, content-domain performance and repeated error patterns. PSAT scores are planning information, not university admission results.

What to review after the total score

  • Section imbalance between Reading and Writing and Math.
  • Knowledge and Skills domain indicators.
  • Pacing and unanswered questions from practice.
  • Whether errors came from missing knowledge or misreading.
  • Movement across comparable practice attempts.

What a score does not mean

A PSAT score does not guarantee an SAT score, university outcome or scholarship result. For PSAT/NMSQT, the NMSC Selection Index and eligibility requirements are separate from the total score and may not apply to every international student.

Directional diagnostics

Short diagnostics have wider uncertainty than full official tests. Use them to choose study priorities, then validate the plan with Bluebook.
