Score ranges
| Assessment | Total | Section |
|---|---|---|
| PSAT 8/9 | 240-1440 | 120-720 |

What to review after the total score
- Section imbalance between Reading and Writing and Math.
- Knowledge and Skills domain indicators.
- Pacing and unanswered questions from practice.
- Whether errors came from missing knowledge or misreading.
- Movement across comparable practice attempts.
What a score does not mean
A PSAT score does not guarantee an SAT score, university outcome or scholarship result. For PSAT/NMSQT, the NMSC Selection Index and eligibility requirements are separate from the total score and may not apply to every international student.
